We carry out educational interventions and
awareness raising campaigns with the aim to develop the individual’s
pshychosocial skills, enhance mental resilience, personal responsibility,
emotional management and promote quality interpersonal relationships. This is
achieved by working in groups and applying methods of active learning (role
playing, dialogue, etc.) that place the person into a participatory process.
Our aim is to develop the digital skills
and competences of our target groups and engage them through such tools, to
produce and make innovative use of digital content throughout our activities,
and to use digital technologies and methods to the greatest extent possible in
all phases of our projects.
Awareness raising about environmental
and climate-change challenges is of high importance to our initiatives. We want
to develop the competences of our target groups and use green strategies that
support the innovative practices related to saving resources, reducing energy
use and waste, compensating carbon footprint emissions, opting for sustainable
food and mobility choices and more generally to enable behavioural changes for
individual preferences, consumption habits, and lifestyles.
We do believe that education nourishes both social progress and economic prosperity. Therefore, education promotes individual wellbeing as well as economic development of societies by stimulating critical thinking and innovation.
Environmental issues, climate change and
the ways to combat them, are increasingly in the first chapters of the annual
agenda by states in national, European, and international level. Therefore, one
of the main questions is how we, as citizens that suffer from the consequences
of these problems, can strengthen the effort for a “greener” future?
Schools and every educational institute must create the circumstances that through the procedure of knowledge and school life, teachers, and students as the main representatives of the future will build on thinking, discussing and acting about the environmental sustainability. In this course teachers, students and everyone who is involved in the educational procedure can learn about the initial causes of climate crisis, with actions that engage the environmental conscience into classrooms and school life in general, along with practical proposals for a “green” school.
Within this context, learners will have the opportunity to co-create flexible short courses for educational use in schools, to discuss and suggest activities for their school and if possible, to visit sustainable schools and get informed on eco-technologies. The course is looking forward to the better understatement of concepts like biodiversity, sustainability, pollution but mainly it aims to help learners to be the carriers of knowledge and action in their schools. Educational Institutes, students, and teachers, as the core cells of a broader community, should in practice highlight the fragility of nature and natural sources and the necessity of collective action to achieve the goal of environmental sustainability.
The course will help the participants to:
The social media education course is intended for teachers and educators who have to do on a daily basis with people using social media for different purposes: socializing, looking for jobs, sharing photos, and so on. There is a necessity to understand in depth the dynamics of social media so that they can be used in all their potential. Tools such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are used on a daily basis to communicate with other people, but too often these tools are used in the wrong way. This course will help identify common behaviour mistakes in the use of social media, so that teachers can start sharing a correct digital culture among their pupils, so that they can learn the value of digital relations and understand the rules for a correct use of social media.
We do believe that education nourishes both
social progress and economic prosperity. Therefore, education promotes
individual wellbeing as well as economic development of societies by
stimulating critical thinking and innovation.
We base our work on:
1. Research on social needs and challenges.
2. The use of innovative learning approaches to answer to these needs.
3. Creative thinking techniques that stimulate idea generation, problem-solving and the capacity of independent thinking both individually and within a group.
The best teamwork comes from men who are working independently toward
one goal in unison!
